I went online to find a loan to help pay for our wedding. I received a call later that day from Jason Fraser from Willoway Financial Advisors, stating I was approved for a loan. I was excited, so I called the place back right away, hoping to get things squared away. It was hard to get a hold of Jason though, but nothing set off a alarm. The next day I finally got a hold of them, and was told that I was approved for a $5000 loan, all I had to do was send $715 through Moneygram for insurance since I didn't have perfect credit and they were taking a risk financing me. The amount was supposed to be for the first 3 month payment and I would not have to pay anything on the loan until June. This made sense to me at the time, so I went ahead and sent the money. When I called them to assure that the money had been sent, I was told that my money would be there the following afternoon. Next day came and went and no deposit was made, so I called the next business day, which was Monday. Could not get a hold of anyone, left tons of messages, and when I did get through, I was told that they were closing in 15 minutes and to call back tomorrow. Called back today, and again could not get through to anyone. I had my fiancee call, and she got through, just to be put on hold, and hung up on. This made her suspicious, so when she got home she checked the BBB website and complaint, to not find anything under their name. So she thought, ok, they may be legit. So she surfed around on the website, and ran across some reports stating similar fraud with different finance companies. Suddenly that all came into place. Their website had a invalid email address, and no contact numbers. I checked my bank account online, and found out that already there were 2 fraudulent purchases made on the account. Now I will have to contact everyone and I don't even know if I will get my money back due to this. DO NOT get a loan unless it is through a reputable lender, especially if they are hard to get ahold of and asks you to send money. You may pay just like I am now. If it wasn't for this site, the consequences could be worse.
