I was a newly divorced, single mom in desperate need of establishing my own credit. Of course I received a credit card offer in the mail and thought it would help my situation.
The card had a $300.00 limit with $248.00 already owed the day I got the card. I was so excited to have a card of my own that I was naive enough to actually use the card for approx. $45.00 more dollars.
On top of the $248.00 already owed and unbeknownst to me, the company also charges a monthly fee. Of course this then put me over the limit. What followed? You guessed it, an over the limit fee.
To make a long story short, I refused to pay the over the limit fee but made my required payment. Next month, same thing, but now an over the limit fee again and a LATE FEE on the over the limit fee!!!
To make a long story short, my $45.00 purchases have now turned in to a balance of $718.00!! That I will never, ever pay these blood suckers. Never. No Way, No How. "Can you hear me NOW?"
