I have had an account with this bank for six years now. They have frequently screwed things up but frankly I never took the time to switch to another bank.

A few examples of their poor customer service:

I have only deposited into my savings account one time. EVER.

About two months ago I deposited cash into my checking account like I always do but they somehow credited it to savings even though my deposit form made it very clear what I was doing. When I wrote a dozen checks and debits on the funds I stayed well below the amount of the cash deposited.

After a few days I randomly checked my balance online and notice 16 $5 fees for "transfer from savings." They had put the deposit in the wrong account and then used my savings as overdraft protection to cover the checks. So that amounted to $80 in fees. I figured, no big deal, they made a mistake, will fix it and won't worry about it.

I went to the bank and filed a complaint with them to refund the fees. After never hearing from them I checked my account online again two weeks later. I had received ONE refund of $5, so now they've stolen $75 from me.

That's just one fun example of their lack of customer service and screwing the customer for ever penny they can.

Another would be today:

I log online and notice my balance is nearly $600 negative. Then I see some debits had gone through and an accompanying $30 fee times five. I had signed a very specific form with my bank long ago in 2007 stating if the funds are not available I do not want the card to work for this reason. Running a business too many people have access to it and they dont' always check a balance in advance.

I made it very clear, a debit card is to debit money if the funds are in the account, if not, there should NEVER be anything to debit! It should simply say insufficient funds like it does at an ATM. I signed an opt out form to insure this happened.

I went in to the bank today to pay off my valid balance and close the account, but they stated they would not close it until it was brough to a zero balance. I stated as soon as they removed their fees I would, otherwise, I won't pay anything. She said oh well it will go to collections. Again, wonderful customer service!

Long story short, this is just a few of the times they have scammed me for fees and failed to return them honestly. I'll next be filing complaint with the SAG and CoC. Next I'll have my attorney file suit against them if they do decide to pursue collections or add me to Chexsystems.
