If you googled the name Raymond Morris and came across this consumer complaints then you are probably in the same boat I am. You probably invested with a third party PPM that invested with Ray Morris. Now, the money has mysteriously disappeared and you just want your money back. Well, hop aboard, trust me you're not alone.
Raymond Paul Morris needs to be stopped. He has swindled millions of dollars away from investors. I'm also certain that his lawyer, Luc Nguyen is in on this as well, so while we're at it, lets hope the SEC takes him down to. It's sad that these people have chosen to swindle us. It's also sad that we allowed ourselves to all be suckered in.
I was approached by a friend that had been in on the "Leasing company" deal for about a year. Things had been going great. I was told there was risk involved, but that our principal would never be touched so the main risk would be whether or not we ever received the interest promised. I had very limited information, why did I ever think things would be as cozy as they appeared to be. As soon as I got in, it all blew up. I've never seen a dime back.
I'm not angry at my friend. I'm angry at Ray Morris and Luc Nguyen and the pride and arrogance that has led them down this path. But I'm also angry at my own stupidity and naivety and lack of due dilligence. I learned in business school to never invest in an individual and I went against that principle.
Luckily I did not invest everything I had like some people in on this, but it was a significant amount to sting. The sad thing is that my investing prowess is most likely gone. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to invest in anything other than fixed debt instruments and stocks again. Something held to stricter standards than a bogus "leasing company."
I hear promises that my third party has funds available from other assets to cover this failed investment. I'll believe when I see it. Right now, its just too hard for me to believe anything coming down this pipeline.
Good luck to all involved in this outrageous scheme. I'm sorry you had to go down this path with me. Hopefully we will all come out wiser and better people because of this.
