Fifth Third Bank chooses to charge an overdraft fee that i believe to be excessive. When discussing with the Mgr. @ the bank she informed that there are no laws prohibiting them from charging the fee they do. After checking with banking laws she was right. So technically Fifth Third Bank is within their legal right to charge over $400 for nsf checks amounting to less than $75 in 7 days. This posting is to shed light on what banks a going to their own customers. When they say we don't look at you as just a number, I find it hard to swallow that they look at you any other way. Do yourself a favor stay away from this bank and all banks that have these type of polices where they look at your mistake or misfortune as an opportunity to profit. It reminds me of the guys who tried to sell water after Hurricane Katrina for some ridiculous amount of money. Trying to profit when others are down. I hope some Fifth Third Bank employees find this posting. And if you are they, I want to ask you if when your were a child, if you sat around dreaming of the day you could screw a woman who works 50 hours a week with abused children, the job none of you would do, out of more than half her paycheck. Or did you dream of being a police officer or fire fighter where you could help people do something that would make the world a better place. The ones of you who answered honestly think long and hard about you career choice and for the rest of you I would be buried with some spf 2000 sun block.
