I only spoke to Berry at Peachtree. Explained to him that we had a settlement that was obtained from my wife injury. The settlement was put into an Anuity that comes payable in five years and pays out for fifteen years. The total settlement was for over $200 thousand dollars. I asked about a particule and a full buy out. He rather offended me when he came back with a particule of $14,000 less the $2,000 lawyer fee and $200 for paperwork. If I would have excepted this they would have collected over $72,000 for their sevices. Then he offered a full buy out of about $22,000 less $2,000 for lawyer feesand $200 for paper work, which then would have paid them over $200,000 for my $20,000. What do they think we are Stupid?
When I did some checking they are no different the other settlement companies. They are taking advantage of those in a pinch.
