National Credit Investigation Bureau NCIB Routinely violates Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

These simple directions allow you to use the law in your favor to end contact with NCIB, an unethical private company. NCIB are a third party collection agency and you have no legal obligation whatsoever to have contact with them. If you want to pay your debt, work directly with whoever you owe in writing. All you need to do is make a two second phone call and mail a certified letter with return receipt.

NCIB typically have an automated dialer make first contact. It will give you a phone number and ask you to call urgently. It says: "This is not a sales call."

It is a sales call. They make a percentage of $ debts they collect and are illegally selling you abusive language, deceit and threats of false information to your credit reports in order to make their percentage of your money.

Call them and identify yourself by phone number. Tell them to contact you in writing. Hang up, even if they continue speaking. Rudeness is acceptable, as you will get plenty of it from them if you allow them to interrogate you.

You do not legally need to speak to them at all. Anything you say to them on this recorded line will be used only to collect money from you. Nothing you can say to them can benefit you. Do not confirm or correct your contact information. Do not admit the debt in any way. Do not discuss your situation with them. Do not confirm or deny anything. Do not discuss past payments or future payments. Seriously, hang up or regret that you didn't.

As soon as you get a letter from them, send them a Cease and desist letter. (search the internet for a free form letter to copy.) Do not discuss the debt in the letter. Use the contact information from their letter without correcting errors.include the name of the alleged creditor. It must say:

Pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. Section 805., you are hereby notified to cease and desist all further communication with me in regard to (alleged creditor.)

Mail this at the post office, certified return receipt. Keep a copy for your records. If they make any further contact with you after this letter, they are violating the law. You should then file complaints against them with both the Federal Trade Commission and the Arizona State Attorney General. You will be entitled to money for their violation - see the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for more info.
