I was approached via email to subscribe to Money Tree List service which would provide names addresses and phone numbers of people who were closing on home Mortgages within the next few weeks. These individuals would need to have insurance to close their loans and they supposedly knew an agent would be calling them. All potential clients would be located within my pre-selected zip codes if no other Insurance Agent had selected the zips.
In reality I received names of individuals all over the state and only a very few in the zip code areas selected. We tried to make contact with them all and the ones we were able to contact were not closing a Mortgage nor were they interested in a home quote. Other individuals where we could not contact we returned for a so called credit. I'm not sure if that ever did happen.
We finally closed our relationship with Money Tree and were out our initial investment plus our time to contact people who were not interested in hearing from us. We tried to get money back to no avail. I wrote a letter to the company and they did not respond. They also did not respond to several Faxes that were sent.
