NFCU recently assessed me an unfair late-payment, penalty fee of $33.13, on a $51.00 amount that NFCU claims is overdue for the month of November. This $33.13 fee, for a $51.00 amount, comes out to a 65% late-payment-fee assessment.in my opinion, this is outrageous. Unfortunately, I never received the November statement from NFCU. When I brought this matter to NFCU's attention, NFCU responded unfavorably to this matter, and refused to remove this unfair finance charge from my credit card account. I have been a longtime, loyal, devoted member of NFCU, and I have always made my payments on time. I do not deserve to be treated in a heavy-handed manner like this, by NFCU. I have thus decided to end my membership with NFCU, because of NFCU's unfair treatment of me. This statement is based on the facts of my personal situation, and I hope this info. Helps.
