I am another Wells Fargo victim of atm fraud. I went into a local Wells Fargo Bank that is inside a Ralph's shopping market. It was 11/09/08 at 9:38am I had just gotten paid and had $768.00 cash in my wallet consisting of 7 one hundred dollar bills 3 $20s, 1 five, and 3 ones. My dad was with me and the bank wasn't open for apx. 30min. So I decided to make a atm deposit. I sat down at their desk and put 4 one hundred dollar bills in an envelope licked it sticked it and wrote $400.00 in the cash and total spot just like I have done many times before. As I was doing that my dad said your not going to put $400 cash in a machine are you. And I told my dad its fine I do this all the time. Well I wish I had listen to my dad 2 days latter I tried using my atm and it didn't work. I then went into the bank that I made the deposit and they told me that I made and empty envelope deposit. I gave them the run down of what I did and they told me to call the fraud atm department. I went through all their hoops and dealt with the terrible customer service and started a claim. It is now 15 days later and they are telling me that I put a deposit slip in the machine. I feel like this is legal theft and for me these are hard times $400 dollars is a lot of money for me. I don't even have the money to go spend thanksgiving with my family and with all the fees I am incurring it looks like I am going to have a bid x. Mass also.
