Falsely charged late fee when I paid this card off and requested the account closed

First time we received a bill from Juniper it had a Late Fee, and that's when I did a Google search and found tons of evidence against JUNIPER and decided to pay this off as fast as I could.By make a major dent in our emergancy savings, we PAID IT OFF in three payments and ask them to close the account. Two months went by with no response, until today we recieved a bill with a current balance of $42.64 = (previous balance of $2.64 service charge late payment of 39.00, and finace charge of $1.00). They raised the APR to 114.61% and of course this if not challenge will mess up our credit. We been ripped and we are going to war!!!
