We had been in a bad situation when our loan was transferred to Ocwen in October. We put our home on the market in December and got a buyer in February. Ocwen continually asked for financial statements for us throughout the process. We sent two of them that had no changes in them.
Ocwen would NOT approve the sale. We waited over 6 weeks and keep giving them everything they requested including a $300.00 processing fee for them to read the documents that they requested for the short sale. They kept telling our realtor that everything seemed in order.
We moved out of the house on March 14 thinking the home would close the next week. When it didn't - the buyers withdrew their offer and we were left living at our new home and having the old one. Ocwen NEVER returned my call to answer what else we needed to do to satisfy them.
We were forced into foreclosure because of Ocwen. It made NO sense whatsoever that they would be so difficult with us. They assumed our loan so it wasn't like they had been working with us for years and they were finally frustrated. We were with them for only 4 months and they did nothing to help us try to put a positive end to a difficult situation.
