A surprise showed up on my glowing credit report. West Asset Management says I owe $403 for an unpaid Sprint bill. I never had an account with Sprint. Sprint won't give me any information, just refers me to the collection agency. The collection agency has all my information. Even the address is correct, but I never ever got a notice from them or from Sprint. The customer service rep said she couls settle the debt for about half what is owed. She told me that it would remove it from my credit report. She also said that I would get my money back after my dispute is successful. I'm sure her first statement is a lie and the second statement: I'll never see my money. Because they have all my correct information they insist it's my debt.
