I responded to an e-mail notice that I was approved for a loan up to $10,000.00 I contacted the company and received a call back by one Janet Malone who took my application. Within a short time she called me back to inform me that they had found a private lender in Canada who would cover my loan. I was faxed a contract with what appeared to be legitimate company info. I signed and returned the application. A stipulation of the loan was that I purchase an insurance policy to cover the loan. I had some reservations about the fact that I had to pay the insurance premium by a Western Union Cash Transfer.
When I questioned this process Ms Malone presented a very convincing explanation of the process. I have sent a total of $1500.00 to an individual named Lloyd Hunter in Canada (there atleast 100 listings for that name!) I was told that the loan would be deposited in our account within 2-3 business days. Since the transfer was made and picked up, we have not been able to contact an actual person at the contact number provided. Further research shows that the address they listed as 364 East 1st. St.in Santa Ana, CA 92780 is bogus. They are not listed with the California Chamber of Commerce.
The listing in the California phone book has an inoperable local number ans the toll free # provided is to another business. I have placed a fraud report with Western Union; contacted the California Police Dept. As well as my local police. I should have known better than to send money to someone I don't know. Please don't make the same mistake I made!
