About 3 months ago I received 2 letters, about a week or so apart, from 5th3rd saying they were in process of foreclosing on my home due to nonpayments. Since being single I have tried to keep such accurate records of bill paying and I knew I had made paymets late but eventually, paying extra because of being late. Both times I called and spoke to different clerks, I wrote names, dates and times. I was told if I made two payments in a row I would be caught up to date. So, 2 weeks apart I did this.
I had to buy a, new to me, car at advice of my mechanic. I am a single mom, 1 income. Well, obviously my bank did credit check on me. It showed me delinquent on my house payments. I have been late a few times. So now I call again, getting date, time and name, being told to pay $148. And regular payment and I will be up to date.
In past they have told me they didn't receive my payment so I started sending payments w / return receipt card they have to sign and mailman brings back to me as receipt they did get my payment. I decided to try paying online. Last week I spoke to 3 different people, 3 calls, one a manager, being told they 'can't' send me proof of receiving my payments but they will send me a payment history. The manager said it would go out Monday afternoon in mail. Friday I call and was told it takes 3-4 days to process before going out. A manager wouldn't tell me this???
It is almost as if they are trying to keep me in bad report credit wise. Who can afford this??? Don't they care they have such a bad reputation???
