During the week of 6/6/08 I spoke with a represetive from America one financing. They informed me that America One specialized in finding personalized personal loans for people with bad credit. America One referred me to Naperville Financial & lending. Naperville verbally (via phone conversation) discussed my options as to a $25,000 student loan.
Daniel Taylor was my personal loan consultant. He informed me that I was to receive my contract via fax and to fill it out completely. I was also to send my lender the Royal bank of Canada (RBC) and initial good faith pre-payment of $1,300.00 USD. This would count towards my repayment of the loan. I had to make this pre-payment due to my "bad credit" and a lack of a co-singer.
I agreed. I spoke with Walter C Graves my lender from RBC to confirm this unusual circumstance. I went to wall-mart and sent him a person to person money gram to Ajax Canada as he specified for the amount of $1,300.00 USD.
Naperville faxed me a binding loan contract on 6/6/08. I filled out all pertinent information including my bank account information for direct deposit of my loan. On Monday 6/9/08 I saw that my loan was not deposited. I called Daniel Taylor (extension 402) from Naperville and asked why? He stated that I declined to take out insurance on the loan if in case I was unable to repay the loan if in the event of death or serious illnessinjury.
Daniel Taylor instructed me to make another payment in the amount of $1,000. USD for Naperville basic insurance policy. I was to again send this to Ajax Canada but instead to James Swindell. I called James and he informed me that he was an insurance broker with RBC. I sent him the $1,000. USD.
On Monday 6/23/08 I again did not see my loan deposited in my bank account. I tried calling Naperville financial and David Taylor and did not get any response. I also left numerous messages with costumer service. I got no reply...? So I researched Naperville financial online with the better business beuro and disapprovingly found out that I was scammed..! So today I'm writing this formal complaint.
