My parent's let me know that they had been receiving calls non-stop from Central Credit Service asking for me and that when they answered they refused to tell them what it was about. When I picked up their call, 636-200-0019 they hung up on me after I said 'hello' 4 or 5 times. I called them back and spoke with a John Maxwell. I informed him that I had already spoken with one of their representatives and given them the phone number of my attorney. He said that they don't work with credit counseling services. I informed him this was not credit counseling and that they had a power of attorney for me.
Long story short, I asked him if he had called my attorney and he said he would not do it. He told me, "What are they gonna pay the bill for you?" and that I was "running away from them" then he flipped out for no reason yelled, "Get off my ph-" and hung up on me. I attempted to call back and was sent to his voicemail. I don't believe he follows the Fair Collections Act. He also never even informed me that he was a debt collector. Even though I called, I'm still not sure that's legal.
What a horrible company and person. I was nothing but cordial with him and he was an absolute jerk. People like him are the reason I was forced to get an attorney. They refuse to work with you, but want you to bend over backwards for them. Hire an attorney and make sure they stick with the fair collection act.
