I entered the debt consolidation program with Gibson Trust in Jan and they did say there would be a setup fee that would be returned upon completion of the program, they never said anything about the 1st payment being used for this. So my problems began there when creditors hadn't received payment that month and I'd paid Gibson already and couldn't pay anymore. I explained the situation to the creditors and we waited for the next month. I mailed in my payment at the first February, and they sent a statement saying they had mailed checks to the creditors on Feb 14; as of yesterday my creditors have still not received any payments and two never even got proposals.
Meanwhile, I'm now out three payments that Gibson has now pocketed. And my creditors are calling on a daily basis and continuing to charge late fees and interest.
I did make an inquiry to the State of Florida about Gibson yesterday about the status of their corporation but this was before finding so many others with the same complaints. I will now file an official complaint against the company and return to the reputable company I was with before and urge you do the same in hopes of shutting down this scam.
