Do not join this company! Recruiting consultants

I joined Freedom Foreclosure Prevention Services in early January for two reasons. First off, I am a Realtor and I have been effected tremendously by the slow down in the real estate market/credit crunch that we have been experiencing these last 2 years or so. Second, I wanted to help people facing foreclosure so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity... Well I was dead wrong! Please consider this report before you invest your time or money into this company!!!

I found out about this company on Craigs list. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for me since it is a work at home career and I have a small child to take care of. Also, being in real estate I felt I could excel at this type of work. The first thing that happens is you take a webinar over the phone and internet and then the person who is your recruiter (this is a direct marketing company) calls very nicely to answer any questions you may have... My recruiter, KEI PEI, was very helpful at first, that is until I gave the money to join then I never heard from him again!

They give you two days after the webinar to join for a special introductory special of $1495. If you join after the two days then you must pay $2000. Being that I didnt want to get charged an extra $500, I signed up right away. It was scary but I didnt see anything negative about them on this site nor on the better buisness bureau site.

After joining up I jumped in full speed. I worked 50 hours a week taking the required classes and then I ordered buisness cards, flyers, advertisements, notice of default lists, ect... I went all out... Spent $6000 in total... And I worked hard... And it was very easy getting interested prospects because foreclosures are such a problem in my area... Well I easily talked to 3-5 homeowners in need of help a day... When I asked Kei (before I signed up) what was the percentage of people that should qualify for the service that we provide (the service is negotiating with homeowners lenders a repayment plan or in some cases loan modifications so that they do not lose their house) he said on average we could help 7 out of every 10 homeowners we speak to... interesting stats... Because the home office are the ones that decide if we could take a case or not. And I started seeing that the home office was only taking 1 out of every 10 cases I submitted for review!!! Well it was alot more work then I had imagined seeing that I had to talk to 10 home owners to find one that may qualify and then the one that qualifies I must convince them that we are the service that they should go with... Not to mention that they doubled their fees since I joined and then called it a "pay raise" for consultants!

Long story short, I was told that the cases take 6 weeks to 2 months to close... The consultants get between 30-40% of the fee that the homeowners pay for the service... Well I got my first case in early Febuary (almost 4 months ago)... I got a total of 8 cases signed up since January until March... And then I started to realize that it seemed they were not working on the cases... I was just to sit back and believe that one day I would get paid and keep on chugging forward... Worse yet, of the 8 cases that I got, they have dropped 4 of the cases for reasons such as the homeowners were not returning calls on time ect... Well if that is the case then why have I been getting calls by these poor distressed homeowners asking if we were resolving their case? I had a call from one lady that got a notice of sale date and wanted to know if we were helping... This happened to be one of those cases where they had dropped sighting it was the homeowners fault... This poor lady may now lose her home if FFPS does not do what they promised me and her that they would do...

So here I am this is my only job and I had been working 50 hours a week and invested $6000 dollors on credit card towards this work... And it has been 5 months since I joined the company and I have not made 1 red penny and the people I had set out to help have not received any help... As of yet...

I emailed the president of the company about my situation... I let him know I had been working for FFPS for 5 months and have not made any money and that I was out of money and was also in danger of becoming homeless... His responce, why don't you try marketing the product on the consultant side... Meaning selling the "buisness opportunity" this is quicker money, he said... And be patient about the other money and that they WERE indeed helping the homeowners...

Maybe if I were a heartless person such as the person who signed me up who had lied when I asked him questions and then stopped returning my calls after I paid, then maybe I would sell this buisness opportunity to other poor souls who have been displaced by the real estate issues we have been experiencing... But the truth is THIS IS NO BUISNESS OPPORTUNITY. It is my belief that Freedom Foreclosure Prevention Services main objective is to hire on as many consultants as they can and profit off of the sign up fees consultants must pay (remember that $1495.00 I had to pay when I started)... They are not in the buisness of helping homeowners at all... This is a scam... If you are a home owner thinking of using these services, run... They have only a handful of people working on loan negotiations for the thousands (and growing) consultants across America... If you are considering this "buisness opportunity" then think twice!!! Unless you have 6 months where you would be comfortable with not making a dime or if you feel comfortable selling a worthless buisness oportunity then you are better off looking for something else! PS... I will repost when AND IF I every receive any money from the work I have done...!!!
