Last year was difficult for us (hospital, surgery). We were late with mortgage payments. When I got back to work we tried to work out the problem with Option One, but they didn't want to cooperate with us. When I sent them one mortgage payment they didn't want to accept it & sent my check back to me.
They wanted all the money what we are behind. I didn't have that much at this time because I just got back to work. I promised them I would pay everything when I get my tax return (only few weeks wait), but they didn't want to wait & put me on foreclosure. I tried to compromise with them for a loan modification & fax all the papers that they asked me for, but a few weeks later they told me - they never got my fax (I have my fax confirmation, result OK).
I faxed all the papers again, waited & a few weeks later same story - they claimed that they never got the fax again! They played with us like they wanted to help us, but on the other hand they just wanted to take our house away and make good money from this. We have three kids & no place to go. We put so much money for this house & now we are going to lose everything. This is not right!
We tried so hard to work the problem out with them, but they didn't want to cooperate with us. Maybe it is just simple discrimination because we are not born Americans, but we are the good citizens, working hard, and paying taxes. We are very dissapointed with Option One & I know this now, a lot of other people are in the same situation with this company.
Finally we started working with another company who legally represents us & are trying to negotiate with Option One. Maybe this time we will able to do something & Option One will give us a chance. If I will lose my house anyway - I will go to court with all the documentation in my posession & sue Option One. If they don't want me to pay mortgage for them now, maybe they just want to give me a house for free?
