On 04/30/08, I was contacted by Chris Davidson letting my know that I was approved for a 5000 loan. It was a secured loan so I was required to secure the loan with 10 monthly payments at 96.49. The lender required me to put down 964.90. I was told to wire the money to Vivian Rogers in Calgary, Alberta in Canada via moneygram at any walmart store. I did so and called back with my reference number. I was then told the money would be deposited in my account by 5pm the next business day.
I was contacted the next business day by David Mercer who then told me that there was some discrepancies of some sort and the insurance company required the lender to secure an additional 10 mos on the loan. I then on 05/06/08 sent in another 10 mos payments towards my loan. He called me on 05/07/08 and said the lender totally backed out of issuing the loan and that Highland Lending services would be filing a lawsuit against this lender. He said I had two options, he has another lender but the min. Amount of the loan is 10,000 and I would have to put down more money to secure this loan. My other option was to request a refund which would not be direct deposited into my bank account until their next billing cycle which would fall on 05/30/08.
If anyone reads this, please do not fall into this scam. I am a single mother just was looking to get some help with getting my bills paid and I got scammed out of 2000. Which it will take me months to make up this income. I am already working two jobs. Please don't fall victim to this scam. It really holds true, "It it sounds too good to be true, it usually is".
