I pay my credit cards in full each month; the last bill I over-paid by about $10.00 or less; I have been a customer of this account for over 10 years. Apparently my credit card account was suspended for three days; I was not notified, and only noticed when I tried to buy gas on the account, and it was declined. I called my credit card company immediately, and was put through a harassing process, in which they asked me multiple choice questions pertaining to my personal purchases from over 10 years ago, plus confirmations of recent purchases. I had had that account number to pay for toll road purchases, plus life insurance premiums.
When I asked if I had to call these companies to reinstate my newly confirmed security affirmation, I was told that yes, I had to. I asked whether my credit card account had had any suspicious attempts at fraudulent purchases, and was told that it was a "random pick" of suspending my account for suspicious activity. I was steaming mad, and wanted to cancel, as I pay my bills each month in full. I then recalled to cancel, and was subjected to abusive language by a so-called supervisor, who made indirect threats that my credit would be harmed by cancelling my 10 year old account. It was horrendous. I will never do business with this company again. I would rather pay cash. If anyone else has received this kind of treatment, please respond.
