My auto loan was paid off over two months and I still have received the title.initially, they claimed the title had been mailed via USPS first class. When I got tired of waiting and requested a Lien Release, HSBC changed the story and claimed the title had been sent to my state electronically. I've requested a lien release numerous times only to receive a response stating "the title was sent 31 days ago". Funny thing, they use "31 days ago" even though their responses are weeks apart.
I've since filed complaints with HSBC Office of the President, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Better Business Bureau. At this point a lien release would suffice...
