On 3/15/08 I went online to dell com and proceeded to apply for a dell preferred account, in which came back I was approved for $2,000, it then stated I could make my purchase and at checkout, to check the dell preffered account as payment option, I did so, and the order was placed, in the amount of $1,630.27. On 3/17/08 I received an email from dell inc. Stating I needed to call the verifications office to verify my order. I did so and the man on the phone said there was a problem with the system and had to delete my account and for me to go back online and resummit my application, but that I was still approved for the $2,000. So I went back online and resummited the form and it came back for me to contact the verifications office once again, I contacted them and this time the lady I spoke to said they had to decline me at this time, and that I would recieve a letter in the mail as to why. I had been approved twice for the amount, and now, they claim to see nothing in their system that pertains to that. I went to my credit report and they have also put 2 inquiries on my credit, and called them back and they said they could not take it off, that I would have to deal with that on my own! I also have the printed order form in which the order was confirmed, and was awaiting shipment. They have no knowledge of that either. I have the emails, and printed forms from them, for evidence. If they cannot give me the credit I was approved for, they need to have the inquiries taken off my credit record. I went back to their website and check to see if they had changed anything pertaining to this, and they still have my order as confirmed, and awaiting shipment details, thay would not let me speak to a supervisor, and sent me from sales rep, to sales rep on the phone for over 2 hours. And to no dismay, I now cannot get the computer system I had ordered, because of a mistake on their part, that they claim to have never happened.in their systems they now have me down as ordering a product from them, but with no payment method! And now is on my credit record for no reason, and needs to be taken off! I have the copy of the order, which says the order was confirmed with the dell prefered account as payment method, and the email stating this also. Dells sales practices are beyond ridiculous, they get the consumers hopes up, accept them and then turn them down. They are very rude, and make you look like a liar as though you made it all up. I have tried to call back, but now I cannot even get anyone to speak with me about this matter, and tell me I need to contact the credit reporting agency because they cant do anything for me now.
