I applied for a loan on-line at 24hrloanctr.com and was contacted by an Adam Defranco. He told me that I had been approved for a $10,000 loan but I would need to pay $1,073 to secure the funds via a wire, which most likely would have gone to Canada. This is a total scam. Don't fall for it.
If have had any dealings with these jerks contact the BBB of Maine, file a report on-line at www.ic3.com, and contact the following number: 1-888-495-8501. Since the wires are sent to Canada you need to let them know. When I spoke to the gentleman today on the phone he said this is a criminal organization and this is what they do for a living. They use someone else's identity to start up the organization and then within 2 weeks to a month they shut it down and start another one. I have already contacted the 3 main credit bureaus to put a fraud alert on my credit. As mentioned previously they have recently used the names 48 loan center in Portland Maine and I believe Rockcliff Financial.
The address they gave me on the phone as to where they are located is 14 Yarbourgh Township, Ste 103. But as I'm sure you guessed by now this is a ficticious address.
