Premier-One is a copmlete scam.By reading the prior postings I'm sure that all of you are aware of this by now. Below is my story.
I recieved a call from "Premier-One" about mid- June. I was asleep at the time the phone rang so I was a bit out of it. On the other end there was a telemarketer (cannot remember the name for the life of me) who was telling me about a PayAsYou go card that would report each and every purchase that you make to the 'Big 3' credit agencies. She also explained that the limit was the max I could pay in advance which was 2,500.00$.
Everything sounded like an ok deal since I was looking for something to build up my credit. I went ahead and did a "check by phone" with the agent and then was passed off to the verifier. I was told that I'd recieve my packet within 4-6 weeks and that the card should be arriving just before or after that. Well along went an entire month and I never recieved anything however I was charged for anything yet either. Then at about the end of July I noticed 174$ and change was deducted from my checking account.
I called the number up that was on my bank statement and they said that I would have to wait two more weeks and that I should receive the package any day. I waited and waited then received the package in mid Aug. I waited another two weeks and since I never got the MasterCard I was promised, I called to complain.
When I called the customer support line I talked to "Mike #1". When I asked him why I had not yet recieved the card, Mike #1 said "I show it to have gone out and you should have received it around the time that you got the packet". He said that he could have a new one sent out but after the ordeal I'd already been through, I asked for my money back and to just cancel the offer. Mike #1 informed me that he could cancel the account but not give back any part of the 174$ since I had waited longer than 30 days. After hearing this I demanded to speak to a supervisor and after being rebuttled about 10 times, I got passed off to Mike #2.
Mike #2 said that I would have to write "corporate" to get my money back and that he sympathizes with me for not getting my card. After realizing that I was stuck at this point, I gave into the rebuttles that Mike #2 was giving me and had them send me another card. Mike #2 even went so low as to say that the plan had worked for him as he used it after a divorce and built up rock solid credit.
Today, 10-25-02, I still have yet to see a card. I just called thier service center and spoke to "Cassy" who gave another lame reason why I had not recieved my card yet. This time it was because "I was not put on the lost items list". I immediately said I wanted to discontinue the plan and get my 175 bucks back. Cassy gave me the same answer as both Mikes, to write corporate and then gave me an address In Idaho Falls, Id. Out of anger I hung up the phone.
You see, the address she gave me was for a MailBoxes Etc.in Idaho Falls. After doing some research, I was able to find out that the copmany really resides in Florida and that the place thier web services reside is at a place called "The Computer King - http://thecomputerking.com" which is in Boca Raton. I will keep digging to see what can be found on this company.
I would like to bring a class action lawsuit against this place and have as many counts of criminal charges brought on them as possible (this includes the telephone reps). I know rip-report says not to include an email address but I ask that anyone who has been ripped off by this company (and is willing to prosecute) to Post a rebuttal to this report by clicking on the rebuttal button at the bottom of the page.
I must tell you that you probably won't get your money back even by joining as part of any lawsuit but you can at least bring these crooks to some type of justice. I'm going to start contacting some friends of mine who are attorneys and seeking advice on where to go with this issue. I would like to see at least 5 participants that would be willing to be named as co-plantiffs.
