On 07.13.07 I contacted TaxMasters for assistance. Since I'm on Social Security Disability and Long Term Disability from my employer I had nowhere to turn, I saw Patrick Cox on TV, the founder of TaxMasters. He seemed so sincere I thought I'd call his company. Big mistake!
I borrowed money ($1100) from a friend of mine, she put it on her credit card, ($500 fee and $200 for tax years 2005 and 2006). I dealt with Quincy Shaw - he called many times, I spent money faxing pages upon pages.
In December I received Tax returns for 2005 and 2006. On 01.17.08, I called Quincy Shaw to tell him I could not pay the amount due as I am receiving limited income. He advised me to submit the returns and the IRS would help me with a payment plan. I then asked him about 2004. His response -you owe nothing for 2004 and asked for my W-2's (originals - I know. Stupid me) & sent them overnight. He received them at 10:34am on 01.18.08 & assured me he would investigate, contact the IRS and send me the email response he received from the IRS. Shortly after that I received another bill with my friends credit card info., name & address in the amount of $1,050. Asking that I submit additional funds.
After a plethora of emails I received a response on 02/11/08.."I will review your case today and try calling for a response or email.
On 03/03/08 I sent an email to everyone I have eveer spoken to. And copied Patrick Cox... Must be an actor. To date I've had no response.
There has got to be someone out there that can help.
