I had an account with them [First Union Corporation]. There was an authorized charge on my account for something like $40. The unauthorized charge caused and overdraft. I questioned the charge, they refunded the unauthorized amount but refused to remove the overdraft fees... Which ended up being over $200!!
This was several years ago and I have never made good on the fees. A week after they refused to credit the overdraft charges I opened an account at BoA. The overdraft fees appear on my credit report but that's ok... Will only be there for a few more months and it will be gone.
