I opened a line of credit in 1999. At the time I made sure to ask if there were any fees associated with this loan. I was told "NO"
Over the last 2 years I received a bill for $30.00. Each year I called executive services and was told this was a mistake, they would correct the mistake and they appologized.
I received another bill. I spoke with the loan servicing department and they said March they started charging a fee. I asked for the loan paperwork to see if this fee was accepted and they can't seem to find my paperwork. They claim that since the loan was written over 8 years ago the papers may have been lost. Then a supervisor got on the phone and said this was a paperless loan. What a crock. One lies and they all sware to it.
I also told PNC that I was going to file a formal complaint with the OCC and they laughed. Well they laughed hard then when I made this threat several years ago about an unrelated scam. I laughed even harder when the OCC scanctioned them. I had the last laugh then and I know I will again.
The Comptroller of Currency who is the federal regulatory agency who oversee's national banks says they are very interested and are now investigating.
I strongly suggest if you were ripped off by PNC Bank contact the OCC at www.occ. Treas. Gov or 1-800-613-6743
