I recently was served with a lawsuit against me by Attorney Kevin G. Richards on behalf of EPN, Inc. Back in October I had written a couple of checks to different places intending on them clearing. Two of which where for fuel in my vehicle and the last one was to a bowling alley where I bowl on a weekly bases.
Unaware of them bouncing until I received the notice from my bank stating that they had bounced. I waited for the collection notices to come. They never did come. Several months later I get served with a summons.
I've contacted Epn, Inc / Kevin G. Richards office to work out some sort of payment plan with them but they are refusing.
I know I made the mistake of assuming that my paycheck would be in my account when I wrote the checks. Regardless, I do not see how it is fair to have to pay Over $800 the bounced checks, thats not including the $250 attorney's fee, the court fees or anything else.
