I applied for a loan with Cash Call and was told over the phone that I was PRE-APPROVED for $2600. After providing extensive personal information via fax (costing me $10 to fax) and telling my 17 year old that we had a loan for his new car, they called and said that the loan was DECLINED in the underwriting department. They provided absolutely no explaination as to why and sad they would mail me something. How can they tell me I have a pre-approved loan (after they ran my credit) and then (after receiving a bunch of personal information), decline me? My 17 year old was crushed as he had already made arrangements to pick up the car he had selected. Cash Call should NOT be telling consumers they are approved for a loan unless they are really approved. It was an emotional rollercoaster for my son and I.

Cash Call needs to change their message delivery so that consumers do not think they are approved when they really are not! As far as I am concerned Cash Call ripped me off by accepting extensive personal information and for the cost of the fax. Who knows what will be done with the personal information I provided on a loan that I thought was in the bag.
