CII contacted me, on 9-6-07, to get my business for past due accounts upon learning that they would only charge 18%. I authorized them to start attempting to collect on this on Sept. 6. Over a month later they tell me that they have been diligently attempting to collect on the debt and that the debtor was ignoring them. They then went on to explain that if I authorized them to take it to litigation and cut them a check in the amount of $2800.00 they would go ahead a file a lawsuit on my behalf. I was guaranteed several times that by doing this not only would I get my money back in full (of what the debtor owes me) but it would be done much faster.
Only come to find out that they did receive a check from the debtor (which they told me about after I cut them the litigation check 10-10-07) So my first check should have had a 18% deduction and it didn't it had 50% deducted from it. After two months of trying to find out why and only getting hung up on, left on hold for over 30 minutes, and told that they would have to have Stephanie call me (as she is the ONLY person who would be able to answer my questions), told me they have no one working there by the name Stephanie, to Stephanie's does work there but is out sick, to etc...
They finally tell me that I authorized them to take this to litigation on 9-7-07 (less then 24hrs after signing with them - which is ridiculous). I ask them if they would like me to send my faxed report which shows the date and time I authorized this. Jennifer (the "supervisor") tells me not to get an attitude and that all they can do is place my account under review to figure out what happened. This review could take months (it all depends)
If I was not afraid that I would be out thousands of dollars I would pull all my business from them immediately.
