I received a check in the mail for $4.880.00, thought it was an early Christmas gift (sweepstakes win). Called the number as instructed to report receiving the check, and was told to deposit it. Went to the bank and was told that the check would not scan. Is it a real check or not? If not...
How can a check that looks so legitimate and was so needed be bogus. How can companies be allowed to send through the mail a check that is not a check. There must be some law against this! Is there?
