I have been battling with Capital One and Associated Recovery Systes since 2004 in regards to a credit card account that was FRAUDULENTLY opened in my name. I was deployed at the time the account was opened, and have zero knowledge of said account. I have recieved letters from Associated Recovery Systems, trying to collect on this debt which isn't even mine! I've never had a Capital One Account. The numbers on the letters are no good. And I have sent them a number of written responses in regards to this account, as well as to Capitol One. Neither company ever responds. I am going to report these guys to the better business bureau. Until I looked them up on line, I didn't even know this was possible.
