I have recently signed up with Melaleuca. So far my experience has been ok but I have had a couple of minor issues like having a couple things missing out of my initial kit.
When I signed up I was told the these products were non-toxic and I thought great this is what I have been looking for.
My online research has not shown me that these products are non-toxic I could not find Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on any product except for one. That particular one "Sol-U-Guard Botanical MSDS sheet" is front and center on the Melaleuca site. It is a favorable report.
Unforuantely that is where the data ends and the hear say begins. It would have been great if these products were truely non-toxic but I can understand that peahaps they may only be less toxic. However, I cannot assume that they are even less toxic because I cannot find any available data to make any statement about these products.
I can understand that cleaning products can be somewhat toxic. I can understand that some people may have allergic reactions that may even be life threatening; a bee sting can do that. What I don't like is the secrecy, the hidden nature of the contents of these products. This lack of information has made me hesitant about going forward with Melaleuca.
I could even get behind selling a product that is just as toxic as it's competitors if it works better of has a better price point. I would like someone to clear the air and present the data for public examination. There are many companies that do. Go to http://householdproducts. Nlm. Nih. Gov/health.htm you can find some data there.
If this data exists somewhere I would appreciate a link.
