Sure Touch long distance, Girls Gone Wild, etc
Involved in a credit card scam

(This email was created to Verifi (the 'parent organization' of IConfirm) the fraud aimed me to:

Our specific encounter with this specific fraud is really as follows:

The fraud was started via a telephone call on 11/12/07, where the owner cited the final four amounts of my credit/money Charge charge card and mentioned that I Would been delivered promotion supplies the week before (I'dnot obtained them however) for three various choices - long-distance support, deals, and DVDs. I had been informed that I'd thirty days to judge the presents, where moment I'd need to go upon myself to create connection with each and possibly take or decrease them.

After I asked how/why my card was chosen, I had been informed that I'd decided to take periodic promotional resources after I closed for my card. (because it so occurs, used to donot signal for my card - it had been instantly released by my lender!)

I objected to getting the promotion resources and getting the trouble of suffering them after thirty days, therefore was informed I really could 'opt-out' of these immediately rather (about the telephone). The owner (feminine) mentioned that I'd be documented while an explanitory declaration was read in my experience. I ought to subsequently decrease (by stating "no") at the conclusion of the saving, when questioned whether I'd take the present. I had been also informed that I'd be studied off their checklist and wouldn't obtain any more calls of the kind.

We spent roughly 20 units within the 'opt-out' procedure since I'd to become documented 3 times - once for every individual promotion (as outlined above). (The long-distance saving needed to be documented twice, when I did not react in the correct period throughout the first-run-through.) Next was completed I had been again informed that I had been being taken off their listing.

I called both my lender and Credit 24 hours later regarding this phone, as well as examined my bank documents for that next two times (no exercise). Then recently (11/15/07) I obtained a note on my answering device from Certain Contact long-distance.

The concept mentioned they were calling to verify my purchase of the support through the Confirmed by Credit plan, THAT WE NEVER REGISTERED FOR! They didn't abandon a telephone number, but directed me to visit the next site: https://iconfirm.net and finish the verification within the next twenty four hours giving my title and confirmation signal (that they gave me). I did so NOT do that

Rather, I looked up anything I really could discover on Confirmed by Credit, IConfirm (as well as your website), and Certain Contact long-distance (they'd SEVERAL grievances with situations much like mine). I had been amazed to learn that Confirmed by Credit and IConfirm are legitimate companies.

Today (11/16/07) I examined my bank documents again and found a $1 cost imminent to get a Credit purchase from: GGW MOVIE 800-6893666 California 11-16 07.44.19. I named my lender and instantly terminated my card. They explained the $1 purchase outlined was from Women Gone Wild (which simply is actually among the costs called in a number of of the grievances that I stated earlier).

Later, I named the GGW 800-number (above) and talked to some person called Tamara (owner #060). She mentioned the cost intended that I am signed up for a regular bundle. (That Is evidently the DVD promotion bundle the fraud was pressing.) I advised Tamara that their company is coping with a fraud which I meant to advise the businesses included, along side my lender, law enforcement, the MN Attorneygeneral's workplace, and possibly the regional press.

*

I plan to follow-through with my declaration to GGW, which means this is my standard notice for you and Charge that I'll not permit anymore costs out of this or every other fraud! Somebody (?) sold my information and triggered this issue, and that I plan to try to quit it from occurring again

Please examine this instantly and place an end for your participation within this fraud before more individuals need to cope with this sort of offense! I do not enjoy having my own info sacrificed, and all of the trouble I am needing to undergo due to it

Really,

Merrilee Spaeth
