Lies about about overdraft policy and Senior managements says sorry they lied but you still have the fees

I thought changing from Wachovia would eliminate useless charges and customer No-service but welcome to Washington Mutual. Dont let the catchy name fool you. WAMU is full of scandalous liars. I noticed a NSF charge when checking my account online, and immediately called the 800 customer service line. I was worried about a possible NSF because my husbands payroll cycle changed and I have several automatic withdrawals. I called and asked what caused the NSF and if anything else was pending. I was told nothing else was pending and to pay the $60 to cover the NSF and the returned item which I did. Next day I checked the account 2 more NSF charges. I call again completely upset to again ask what happened. I was told again we work on a 24 hr cycle take the amount to the bank in cash and deposit and the charges would be removed and returned items would be paid. I advised the rep that payroll would go in that evening and was told to make the payment by Close of business. I go to the credit union remove the cash and go to the local WAMU to make the deposit.

No surprise to anyone the charges were not removed and items not paid and I wasted a tank of 2.75/gal gas. I called the 800 number explained what I was told and the rep said sorry she was wrong. I asked for a supervisor to at a minimum remove the fees since that is what I was told the supervisor said sorry she was wrong, but I will not remove the fees I asked to speak to his supervisor because at this pout it has nothing to do with the fees but the fact they knew I was lied to / unintentionally misinformed and had no intention of honoring the word I was given and the time I wasted.By simply telling me what was pending the first day I could have paid the full amount and avoid the 2 additional fees and returned items. The Senior supervisor again agreed I was misinformed but went further to say it was my fault to mismanage the account in the first place and the fees stand, to which I replied you may have gotten my $64 in fees but I will now remove my personal and business account from the bank cancel the current home refi I had in process and work with my credit union to complete along with my business line of credit. I hung up as she began to stutter.

I will no longer pay/reward banks or any other corporate institution to treat me like sh@#$ and I will not argue and be insulted when I can just remove the one thing they need. I advise all to do the same.
