My girlfriend and I needed a deposit for our apartment, we needed to withdrawl $850 from our acount, which put us nearly in the negatives. We had some bills go through which did put us into the negatives. A couple of other pending transactions went through, therefor making us overdraft in our account. These charges are understood. I received my paycheck via direct deposit on friday and was in the positives that morning. 4 other transactions went through on that same day, creating 4 overdraft fees for no reason! Called WaMu customer service that same day and spoke with a female agent. She states this was an error and will credit our account $128 for 4 overdraft fees. She also states we will receive this credit back into our account on monday or tuesday the following week. Today is tuesday (09-11) and still no credit. I called customer service again and spoke with a rude female agent. Debating the fact that we can NOT receive the credit. She immediately said she will give me her supervisor without me requesting one and his have is John. Unsure of last name. John states that these charges are "legitimate" and will not be credited... I am soooo frustrated I do not even feel like typing this situation anymore! *do not bank with wamu... they want your money not your business!!! *
