This company sends a book for $9 that claims anyone can get into the defaulted paper (foreclosures etc.) business right from home without spending another cent. You're given a toll free number to call for "details" and it's only then that a rep started asking me lots of questions about my financial condition. I realized why when he finally admitted to me that I would have to pay a tuition of "hundreds and maybe thousands" — his exact words — in order to be "trained".
The unnamed author of the book explicitly said otherwise: All one had to do is find the right property (defaulted paper), get it listed with their service and collect $5,000 per listing. I should have had the sense to see right there that this was too good to be true. This is one of those "We make money if you make money" deals which, when tied to a huge tuition fee like this one, always makes me wonder why the company demands money from me first if we're really in this together.
Don't waste your time with these people.
