Taxpayers Negotiation Group
Took my money and did NOTHING! Ripoff

I contacted Taxpayers Negotiation Group on April 27 and spoke with Dave Rosa. Rosa assured me that they could take my case and either negotiate an IRS settlement or have the IRS claim dismissed entirely. I faxed him a series of post dated checks and my case was assigned to Jim Stanley... A former IRS agent.

I immediately began to receive requests for information from Stanley's office located in Florida. I was requested to send bank statements, tax returns, pharmacy statements and a letter from my physician (I have Parkinson's Disease), pay stubs, a copy of my lease and much more.

After signing a power of attorney, all communication stopped. My wages were levied at 85% leaving me without enough money to pay rent, buy food, buy prescription meds, see my doctor, buy gas, pay utilities. Still, no communication. After complaining to Rosa he finally informed me that Stanley had moved his office without informing me! New address, new phone number, new fax number.

I called, sent emails, begged and pleaded for information from anyone in Stanley's office to no avail.
Finally, on August 16, almost 4 months after my initial conversation with Rosa at TNP, I contacted the IRS personally. After removing the power of attorney from Stanley, the IRS informed me that they had had no contact with Stanley in months on my behalf and that I was dangerously close to a levy on my bank accounts... Which, by this time, had been drained by TNG and by the wage levy of 85%. I accomplished more in 1 hour with the IRS by phone than Stanley and TNG did in 4 months!

When I contacted TNG for a refund due me by clause 3 in Section 5 of the contract this was the emailed response. Copied and pasted.
Do whatever you want to do. We have a signed agreement that will hold up in court. You are simply a deadbeat trying to get out of paying us.

You can discuss this contract with your attorney&you owe us the balance due under the contract.

Other than that, due what you want to do. You are a deadbeat& you are trying not to pay us, and tried to beat the Government. We were working on your case diligently when you pulled it. READ THE CONTRACT!

We are done with the exception of collecting the balance you owe us. We will turn this into collection and notify the IRS of your stall tactics settling with them&by hiring us and then firing us&buying yourself time to defraud the govt.

Bob Graham,

Manager

Graham then threatened me through email...

Maybe I will discuss the matter with Human Resources at (my employer... I deleted the name for privacy)

Bob Graham,

Manager

I've contacted the State Attorney's General in California, Texas (where I live) and Florida (where Stanley practices). My concern is the information these people have on me... DL number, SS number, bank account numbers, credit card numbers.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Thanks
Bill
