Harassing and rude phone calls in an attempt to collect a debt that is not ours Ripoff

This collection agency continuously calls our home throughout the day and in the evening. They refuse to reveal the purpose of their call. The person calling is rude and wants confirmation on my husband's social security number.

I have repeatedly informed them that I will not disclose the social security number and that they have the wrong consumer. I have told them that we do not have any outstanding debts and that they please remove our name from their list.

It is now to a point where the phone calls are harrassing and annoying. My only recourse may be to change my telephone number.
