I was trying to repair my credit as well and decided it would be best to sign up for AccountSecure Plus on 8/31/02. Went out of work on 3/17/03 and activated my protection. Everything was going fine until I called them for the forms for total disability. Was told by Michelle that the forms would be mailed. Waited about 10 days and no forms so I called back and was told that the forms would not be sent. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold 4 different times for 15 minutes or longer. Never spoke to a supervisor. I called 1-800-690-1532 and keyed in my benefit activation number and the recording stated this was paid on 7/14/04. When I questioned the rep about this information she could not give me an answer. I contacted the Commissionor of Ins for the state of NJ and spoke with David Lev. I faxed him all my info and to this day no response. I called 1-800-690-1532 a few weeks later and the recording states no information found. Wonder why?
This account has been turned over to a collection agency Midland Credit Management Inc. They are willing to offer me an exceptional offer of only $467.06 for the current balance of $934.12 for a credit card that only had a $300.00 dollar credit limit. I can't believe my luck. Please point me in the right direction to handle this. My physician has copies of the forms required to be completed. I had to pay for this service as well.
