I just received a threatening collections letter from Afni for a phone bill with Verizon NY in 1993. It is now 2007! I do not owe this money ($315). This is outrageous and unbelievable! I will be writing a letter to them asking for proof and also indicate New York's 6-year statute of limitations on debts. I called Verizon and they cannot do anything since they sold names to Afni. I am not going to give up!
