My Dad received a collection letter from Afni claiming $433.91 in Verizon phone charges on a phone number in a city he has never lived in and a phone number he never had. Verizon shows the number belongs to Winn Dixie, a grocery store! They (AFNI) were rude when my mom called to straighten it out and kept asking for a social security # which she refused to give them. I spent over an hour with Verizon who says my Dad does not owe a bill but they can't do anything about Afni. Verizon said Afni is their largest collection agency. I am going to write Verizon and the BBB. Can Afni be sued? I want in if they can.
