I've been down on my luck with my finance situation when all of a sudden I get a call from Joan Meyers representing American Corporate Services. She explains to me that she received my application on line and that I was approved for 20,000. I did apply for a loan but I couldn't remember who I sent applications to and because I did apply I figured this was legit so as you can imagine I was so excited to hear about this that I gave Joan my personal information to get started. She explained what I needed to do. She told me that I will have to purchase insurance to help seal the deal and that the amount would be 10% of my loan. Because the loan was coming from a very wealth private investor and with my credit situation, I needed to purchase insurance to move forward. This seamed a bit strange but since I am in a bad financial situation, I was starting to believe her!
She told me that she will have their finance department draw up the documents and to make sure I send along proof of income and proof of residence. Well, I received her documents and from the start I noticed something very wrong. The numbers didn't add up. How could I receive 20,000 at a 3 year term in the amount of 308.77 per month. That's 11,115.72! I was starting to smell something fishy. The numbers didn't add up. I figured, how could a finance company make a 9000 dollar mistake. That's when I started to do my research. I tried to look up American Corporate Services online but nothing came up. Eventually I came across ACS.com which is American Corporate Services but when the page opened, I saw the notice that American Corporate Services do not provide comsumer loans. Well, this was heartbreaking to hear because I had made payment arrangements with all my debts and now I realized this was not going to happen. At the same time I was also glad that I didn't send 1200 bucks to some asswipe in Wyoming. I was to send 1200 via western union. His number is 307-754-8086. I did some background checking with this number and turns out this persons name is Ralph Smith from Wyoming. I do have info on his parents and friends too but I'm not sure if they are even real people.
I've called and called to find out who this person is but only goes to voice mail.
I applaude Jim from Simi Valley for putting this alert out because his alert on rippoff report helped to convince me that I was about to get ripped off!
I also thank the real American Corporate Services for adding the scam notice on the front page of their website.
I would hate for anyone to fall for this scam as I almost did. Please be aware and do your research before your sign or send anything!
