I took out a pay day loan and the biweekly service charge was deducted as per contract.in November the balance was paid - therefore the loan was paid in full. Now it is April and a collection agency is calling my work and saying that I have an outstanding balance. When I went over all the dates and debited amounts all they said was that an attempt to debit in January was declined. Mind you I paid in November. I asked for a copy of the contract they said to call Ameriloan directly. When I did, Ameriloan said they are not handling this. I need proof that I indeed owe this money. I had not received any notice until April that there was an outstanding balance. No email, regular mail, nothing. Just the phone calls to my job started. Frustrating!
