I was shocked when noticing a $65.00 charge to my debit account. I called my bank and reported that someone had used my ATM card over the internet. At this time the charge was pending. Bank Of America canceled my card and sent me a new one. At this time they said that the charge wouldn't go through and issued me a new card.
Four days later I received my new card. The day I activated it the $65.00 showed up on my account once more. The next day I called Bank Of America to report the fraud again. They transfered me to the claimes department for the second time in a week. The representative called CCBilleu and we had a 3 way call.
The representative for CCBilleu stated that they weren't going to credit my account because the person who signed up for this Porn site through CCBilleu had my ATM numbers, the 3 numbers off the back, as well as my personal information. He stated that there was no way that someone could have all my information.
I explained to him that this was the 2cd. Time in 6 months that someone had tried to use my ATM. The first time Bank Of America notified me that someone was trying to use my numbers at various stores. The e-mail that was used wasn't mine nor had I ever heard of this site. I was the only one that has an ATM to my account.
Then he proceeded to accuse my husband of using it or someone I knew. I explained to him that everyone in my house was gone to work and out of the house at the time this transaction occured. I seriously doubt that my 3 year old did it.
As cold and brash as anyone can be he said that that is how it was and the charge will stand as charged. I requested all the following information: IP Address, Date & Time, Website, and the E-Mail address used. And he briskly hung up the phone stating, "Have a nice day."
My Bank Of America represnetative also stated that there was nothing she could do because they refused to refund my money. "When your unemployed $65.00 is a lot of money, " I told her.
They said that the only thing I could do was call the local police station & file with the fraud unit. Thanks for nothing! So here I sit on a Saturday trying to figure out the creep that stole my information and pray that they can find them before they empty my bank account.
The local police refered me to the FBI. I filed a complaint with them as well as the porn site. Hopefully the FBI can locate the computer that my card numbers were used on. Until then, and who knows how long that will be, my car will have to remain on empty until the first of May.
