I don't have the exact dates and names with this company. During the first week of Marh I kept recieving phone calls from this business number. 800-963-6230. I called them back and a lady on the phone asked me if I was interested in rebuilding my credit. I told her I wasn't interested in rebuilding my credit but was looking for a credit card. She told me it was a credit card and I was approved for a &2,000 credit line with American Financial. I was very pleased. I asked her if it was a credit card that could be used anywhere and she said that I can get a cash advance up to $1,000. She said she needed a down payment of $200 but I didn't have the money currently so I set up for the money to be taken out on the 20th of March. I varified my checking account and all other information. Hung up. The 20th came around and the money was taken out. During the first week of April still haven't recieved the card. I got online and did some research on American Financial and read it was an online store only credit line. I called 800-963-6230 and a man picked up. The man was very unpleasent and unprofessional. I asked about where I could use the card and he said he didn't know much about the card and that I'd have to contact customer service. I asked him for the customer service number and he unpleasantly said "Well you should already have the number." I asked him for it again and he said he didn't know it but he'd have to go look for it.
Finally got the number. Called Customer Service 888 281 6710 rang rang rang and no one would pick up and no answering machine. Called the original number again and a lady picked up and gave the same number. Told her it wasn't working and she said they must be closed try back tomnorrow.
Called the Customer Service number the next day and talked to another unpleasant lady. Explained that I was never told it was a online only store and that I was just bluntly told I could get up to a $1,000 cash advance. Asked if I could get a refund but she said they do not do refunds.
It's currently April 10th and I still have not recieved any card or any other things in the mail. $9.95 was also deducted from my bank account by this business because supposedly I gave them a wrong bank account number so they charged me $9.95 for the inconvenience. I should have looked into it more before giving them my information but I desperately needed the credit card to help me with bills. I'm only 19 and I need the money. Now I'm negative in my account since they took almost $210.00 and it's an online only card. The thing that disgust me the most is how the people handled the situation and the way they treated me. I wish I had all the dates and names.
