When I signed a contract with Vision Investing Febuary 7 I knew about their 3 day cancelation clause. I had 3 lessons before disaster struck.
I had a very bad alpine accident. A man who had never skied before in his life, on trick skis reversed his course and skied backward right into me. I am an expert skier but was unable to save myself.
I don't remember anything from the moment I jumped? Missed? Struck? This individual until I was flat on my back head pointing downhill.
A snowboarder rushed over and asked if I was ok, stating that I had hit my head. I said ok, feeling more anger than anything else at that moment, put my skis on and left.
By that evening I knew I was in trouble, and sought medical attention. I was diagnosed with a displaced shoulder, and a concussion. I had a black eye, brusing all over, whiplash. I was a mess!
A few days later I became dizzy and fell over backward in my bedroom hitting my head again.
Leaving the house to see the Doctor, yet a few days later I fainted outside my house and came to four steps below flat on my face.
Verdict, broken tooth, stitched lip, another black eye, bruisiing all over, concussion, whiplash.
I believe an angel's wing supported me for most of the last fall, as I really should be dead!
I contacted Vision Investing and told them what had happened. I was offered a deferment of my lessons. I explained that I didn't know when if ever I would be able to finish my trade education, due to probable long term recovery of my injuries.
I stated that I was having problems focusing, and was in extreme pain. Since then I have also noticed memory problems. Being self-employed and unable to work, I asked for a reasonable refund, noting that I had received my workbook and followed 3 lessons. I told them the $15,350 tuition fee had become a serious financial burden. My trade teacher this week told me to pull up my socks, learn to trade and become rich. My approximate version of his words.
I was told someone would get back to me. I have sent a few e-mails and made numerous phone calls asking for a resolution of my problem.
I thought a trade company of their stature would be able to bend some for me due to my unfortunate circumstances. I don't feel well enough to fight a unprofessionnal Goliath.
I have received one call from customer services stating that they were thinking about it. I assume meanning my refund request.
Since then no one has returned any of my calls. I have been waiting for resolution since March 7.
To them I am sure $15,350 is nickles and dimes. They were so professional, helpful and friendly when they wanted my money. It appears that that was all they really wanted. This is a heartless and unprofessional company. It's owners Shane Rawlings and Chad Stubbs should be ashamed of themselves.
I say to anyone reading this letter to beware of this company. I am certain there are better companies that are not so rigid in their policies, and also have the professionnalism to deal with unusual issues, rather than ignoring them.
At the moment I feel like I have increased the morgage on my house just to make a donation to an unscrupulous investment company, with very wealthy owners.
Tell everyone you know to avoid this company like the plague. I would also caution everyone to learn from my mistake, investigate any online company before giving away your hard earned cash. I have been a very trusting, naive, and stupid person.
Again shame on you Shane Rawlings and Chad Stubbs. Remember time wounds all heels!
