My husband purchased a used mobile home in 2002. He had financing throug Oakwood. As everyone knows Vanderbilt ened up with the loan. When he purchased the trailer the total was $19,000 which now I think was to much for a 9 yaer old trailer. We decided to get it anyway because we were living with our parents and needed a place to live. We decided to buy something that would be ours instead of renting.
Well as of today we still owe almost $17,000 dollars and they told us we still have 9 more years to pay on it. I want to know were is the money going. It is hard for me to believe that we have only paid $2000 in 5 years. Why is it you can buy a car for the same price and have it paid off in 5 years but not a home.
We have also had promblems with them calling all day everyday if the payment was a day late. What happened to the grace period our payment book says we have.
If anyone has information about a class action lawsuit please let me know. If enough of us get together we can take these people down.
